XTAR LC4 is a fully compatible 4-channel intelligent charger for 1.5V lithium-ion cells. With advanced electronics, the charger can charge AA and AAA size batteries. Controlled by an MCU, the intelligent charging functions can select the appropriate charging current according to the input power, which ultimately protects both the batteries and the charger from overheating and damage. The charging process regulates the voltage and current delivered to the batteries in three automatic stages (TC/CC/CV) to ensure that the batteries are optimally charged with minimal consumption. With a built-in LED, the device provides information on the charging status. The special hollow housing design dissipates heat in a better way, which protects the charger and the cells being charged. Powered by USB-C input, it allows you to connect to any 5V USB port (recommended 5V-2A). XTAR LC4 is a handy and functional charger for travel and home use. Included with the XTAR LC4 charger, we receive the corresponding USB-C cable. We can select the corresponding USB power adapter here. Li-ION 1.5V batteries are available here.

The charger does not charge Li-ION 3.6V/ 3.7V batteries.

The TC/CC/CV charging algorithm used in the charger is a charging process for Li-ION cells to ensure good cell condition. It involves charging with the right current and also completing the charge at the right time. TC/CC/CV charging stages, we can divide into:

• TC stage: the initial phase of checking and reactivating a cell whose voltage has dropped below 2.9V
• CC stage: then the cell is charged with a constant current of 50mA to 500mA (depending on the connected power source).
• CV stage: then the charger switches to charging with decreasing current until the cell voltage reaches 4.2V. When the cell voltage reaches 4.2V, charging is complete and the battery is fully charged
